An author and award-winning Creative Director, Kathryn Marinaro leads teams to imagine and design experiences and software at argodesign, a product design and innovation agency in Austin, TX.
She is the author of Prototyping for Designers (O’Reilly) and is an international speaker, presenting talks and workshops on design thinking and prototyping at conferences including SXSW, UX Lisbon, O’Reilly Design, and MakerCon SF.
Kathryn has employed user-centered methodologies to create and iterate on impactful experiences in AR interaction models, health wearables, AI image recognition and training, and cloud development tools. She’s worked on world-class teams like IBM Watson Visioneering and IBM Mobile Innovation Lab and with world-renowned clients including Magic Leap and Salesforce.
Kathryn gained recognition as one of Austin’s Top 50 Female UX Designers and as part of the Advisory Board for the inaugural Austin Design Week. She’s been featured in articles in Fast Company, Time Out New York, Communication Arts Magazine, Architect Magazine, ArtInfo, Make Magazine, and the Visual Arts Journal.
